"This self-portrait represents a turning point in my artistic practice, being my first ever self-portrait. The work stands out for its innovative approach that exploits the principle of recursion as a fundamental compositional method. Through self-assembling elements, the image emerges from an intricate dialogue between colorful geometric shapes and overlapping ordinals, all modulated by a grainy, fabric-like texture that adds tactile depth without altering the original color palette. Recursion is not only a technical expedient, but becomes a metaphor for the process of identity construction: seemingly disconnected fragments that, through repetitive patterns and algorithmic relationships, converge to form a coherent image of the self. This work marks the beginning of an artistic exploration that intertwines personal expression with mathematical and computational principles."
